Nicole’s LASIK procedure will be broadcast via Facebook LIVE at The Rochester Eye & Laser Center on June 29th. The winning nomination came in from Nicole’s husband Melvin. It reads:
My wife Nicole Flores has a remarkable passion for teaching students of all ages, and she has a special place in her heart for international teaching and RCSD refugee students. She has been employed at RCSD for over 7 years, and consistently strives to bring new and innovative ideas to keep her students engaged in learning. The uploaded image depicts Nicole on a missions teaching trip in Haiti. This is just one of many examples of her passion for teaching international students that are anxious to learn. It should come as no surprise that Nicole also specializes in "English Speakers of Other Language (ESOL)."
As a wife, mother of 2 beautiful children, and full time employee of RCSD Nicole is constantly balancing work and life, but she has recently been experiencing many challenges with her contacts and glasses. Long days have been leading to irritated eyes specifically with contacts. Additionally raising two boys keeps us on a fairly tight budget, thus not allowing a lot of discretionary funding for a highly sought after procedure like LASIK surgery.
