At the Rochester Eye & Laser Center, we are dedicated to helping our patients see the world clearly better and one way we express our dedication is by giving back. Over the past years, we’ve held events to collect donations for multiple worthy local charities.

This summer, we will again donate items from our Optical Shop to the silent auction benefiting Boaters Against Cancer, at their 4th annual event, held at The Bald Eagle Marina in Hamlin, NY, on August 3, 2019. Established in 2016, Boaters Against Cancer provides support to boaters and their families as they battle the disease.Visit us there for Bolle' and Serengeti Sunglasses-all at 10% below MSRP. Get your Bolle' and Serengeti Swag-T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and More - Yours Free in honor of this event! (A portion of our proceeds go to this charity.) The Event starts at 10:00a.m. Lots of vendors, wine tasting, duck races, Silent Auction - with awesome gifts to bid on. Live Band starts at 5pm. Fireworks start at dusk

We began accepting nominations for our annual Eyes on our Heroes free LASIK giveaway. Each year, in honor of September 11th, we invite the local community to share the stories of active Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Police Officers, nominating them to receive free LASIK Laser Vision Correction. Nominate your hero today!

At our Inaugural VIP Fashion Show and Silent Auction event in December, we raised funds to help the homeless in Rochester. Proceeds from the silent auction, combined with 100% of the profits from the event were donated to the Open Door Mission of Rochester, to assist with providing food and emergency housing in the Rochester area. The Open Door Mission believes that with proper resources hope can be restored and lives of impoverished men, women, and children of Rochester, NY could be forever changed.

Giving back is a privilege we take seriously. As active members of the community here in Rochester, we want to be sure we are doing our part to help improve the lives of those in need, right here at home.
