The Rochester Eye and Laser Center completes renovation investment
Commissioner Muhammad explained to the group that the Inner Loop East Transformation is a vision that goes back over ten years. Current development plans, adjacent to the Rochester Eye and Laser Center, include apartments, mixed-use development, the Strong Museum expansion, and a family-centric hotel with a pool and play area. He emphasized that the neighborhood is growing and that investment and support, like that of Dr. Lindahl’s at the Rochester Eye & Laser Center, is essential.
Commissioner Muhammad stated,“We are faced with a lot of challenges and opportunities in the city, and we are seeing positive results. We have Rochester Eye and Laser Center and other similar companies to thank for that. Your faith and investment in the city will help us achieve our goal of providing more jobs, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities for our residents.”
Dr. Kenneth Lindahl stated, “I told the Commissioner a little bit about our practice and about where we want to go and where we want to be in the community. He oversees the city’s housing and economic development programs that use cross-functional teams that work to stabilize and improve the quality of life in city neighborhoods. So he certainly belongs here considering that is what we’re trying to do right here. We want to really improve the quality of life right in our little niche.”
