Say goodbye to reading glasses with the help of our KAMRA Near Vision Corneal Inlay

Have you ever forgotten your readers and used your prescription sunglasses to read indoors?

Introducing the KAMRA near vision corneal inlay. This new technology is for patients in their 40s and 50s, who struggle with near vision or Presbyopia. KAMRA is designed to reduce or eliminate the need for reading glasses, in patients with good distance vision.

KAMRA is a small inlay placed under the eye’s cornea, in a process very similar to LASIK (a procedure we’ve been doing for 20 years). Numbing drops ensure your comfort. And it only takes 20 minutes, from start to finish.

Many clients report a feeling of pressure, during the procedure. Once the numbing drops wear off, people describe a scratchy or irritated feeling. Most patients report returning to normal activity 24-48 hours after surgery.

Our patients notice an improvement right out of the gate. By the next day, they can see up-close without their glasses. The change begins in very close vision, then works its way out as the eye heals over one to three months. On average, patients experience a five-line improvement on the vision chart.

At the Rochester Eye & Laser Center, we want to help you achieve your best possible vision.  Interested in learning more about the KAMRA Near Vision Corneal Inlay?  Give us a call or click here schedule your Free KAMRA Consultation now!
