KAMRA is a small inlay placed under the eye’s cornea, in a process very similar to LASIK (a procedure we’ve been doing for 20 years). Numbing drops ensure your comfort. And it only takes 20 minutes, from start to finish.
Many clients report a feeling of pressure, during the procedure. Once the numbing drops wear off, people describe a scratchy or irritated feeling. Most patients report returning to normal activity 24-48 hours after surgery.
Our patients notice an improvement right out of the gate. By the next day, they can see up-close without their glasses. The change begins in very close vision, then works its way out as the eye heals over one to three months. On average, patients experience a five-line improvement on the vision chart.
