We are ready when you are ready

We are currently seeing patients for emergencies, glaucoma, refractive consultations, and our Optical Shop is open daily from 8a-4p. We are currently booking patients for June appointments and for all eye care needs.

While we understand that many of you must be having mixed emotions, on the one hand, you may have some fears about going out and on the other hand, you need to have your eyes examined, or your glasses changed, or cataract surgery.

We completely understand your concerns and would just like to share with you everything that we have done for the safety and well-being of our patients and our staff members.
 
Here at Rochester Eye and Laser Center, we are following the recommendations and guidelines from the experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Over the past month, our team has taken several webinars to ensure that they are abreast of all the latest and best practices that need to be followed to ensure your well-being.
 
For your safety and the safety of our staff, we are taking all safety precautions necessary, including:

  • Staff is conducting screening phone calls with Covid-19 safety questions when appointments are made
  • PPE is being worn by all staff members and we assess staff health daily
  • We are making limited seating available in our waiting areas, and taking patients directly to treatment rooms whenever possible
  • We are disinfecting treatment rooms between each patient
  • The entire office is cleaned and disinfected nightly
  • We are adhering to social distancing in the Optical Shop and each pair of glasses that are touched by customers are taken out of stock and disinfected immediately following.

We ask that you:

  • Come to your appointment on time
  • Ask family members and friends, who may come with you, to wait in the car instead of in the office
  • Wear a mask to appointments and sanitize your hands with hand sanitizer upon arrival

We are also asking current patients to use our patient portal to book appointments, leave a secure message, or pay online whenever you can. This will limit your time in the office.
